May 19th, 2012 – The first time I met Kathy & Gilbert was through a Google video chat as they are living out in San Francisco, CA. Right off the back, I received a great welcome from both of them and realized how lucky I was to be working with them. Their plan was to have a wedding reception with friends and family in Southern California a week prior to their wedding, for those that couldn’t make it out to their wedding. Their wedding was at the Palace of Fine Arts up in the Bay Area.
I had a great time shooting this reception. Not only were their great toasts by both sides of the family, there was a dance performance lead by the mother of the bride. Afterwards, it was a full on dance party all night long. It was an incredible scene to see all these guests get up and dance all throughout the night. The mother of the bride is a line dance instructor and most of the guests all knew how to line dance, which made for an awesome night of dancing. Congratulations Kathy & Gilbert! Hope you’re having a wonderful time on your honeymoon!
